Former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, has said Chelsea or any of his former clubs can’t be compared to his current club, Real Madrid.
Rudiger spent five years at Chelsea and was a key player in Thomas Tuchel’s side, as Chelsea went on to win the Champions League in 2021.
After Chelsea’s Champions League triumph, Antonio Rudiger left Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2022 as Chelsea failed to agree a new contract with him.
Rudiger said in an interview with UEFA: “With all due respect to the other clubs I have been in, which were also great, I think they cannot be compared with Madrid.
“They have 14 European Cups. Here it is always about winning the Champions League without having to say it. Of course, you feel the pressure, I already experienced it last year.
“Here you have to be willing to go to the end. Here it’s about winning. Draws or defeats are simply not an option.”
