Real Madrid and Manchester City clash was billed as the final before the Champions League final.

Both sides had played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu last week.

Manchester City played host to Real Madrid for their Champions League quarter-final second leg clash.

In what was another thrilling tie, both sides played out a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. Even after extra time, they couldn’t be separated, and it had to be decided in extra time.

Real Madrid beat Man City on penalties, to advance to the Champions League semi-final.

Man City midfielder Rodri, claimed after the game that City were the better side, and Real Madrid played too defensive.

“Nothing much to say. Congratulation Real Madrid. To be honest with you, I only saw one team tonight,” he said after the game.

“We deserved to go through. There’s no explanation. We didn’t expect Madrid to be that defensive.”
