Thibaut Courtois is back, and has been named in the squad to play against Cadiz this weekend.
Courtois has been out of action since suffering an ACL injury last August.
Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Courtois will be in goal against Cadiz, while Andriy Lunin will continue in the Champions League.
Ancelotti briefed the media: “Thibaut [Courtois] is fine and he will play tomorrow [against Cadiz].
“This is very good news for us, like the comeback of Militao. He is very excited and we are all delighted that he can come back.
“The final we have in mind is Wednesday’s game against Bayern in which Lunin is going to play. Then we’ll see.
“You want to ask me if Courtois can play in a hypothetical [Champions League] final after the injury he has had. But we don’t think about a month from now. We’ll see.”
It’s great to see Courtois back in action after such a long time. Also, it’ll be good for Lunin to continue in the Champions League. It’s great to have two top goalkeepers in Lunin and Courtois.
