France president reveals what he told Mbappe’s father

Kylian Mbappe Emmanuel Macron

France President Emmanuel Macron is very particular about PSG star  Kylian Mbappe.

It was Macron who convinced Mbappe from joining Real Madrid two years ago.

And now, he has confirmed he’s trying to convince Kylian Mbappe once again. However, this time, it’s about the Olympics coming up in Paris.

Macron is keen on Mbappe making a star appearance in the Olympics.

“I really hope that all European clubs release their players, as the French clubs have done, that is the Olympic spirit,” Macron said in an interview with ‘La Tribune Dimanche’

“I met Mbappe’s father last week and asked him the question. He told me: ‘He wants to play’ (the Olympic Games).”

A major reason Emmanuel Macron doesn’t want Kylian Mbappe to leave PSG is because of the Olympic games. Real Madrid will not allow Mbappe to play in the Olympics this summer if he joins them, provided he plays at the Euros in Germany, however, PSG may give him such privileges.

Back in 2022, Macron convinced Mbappe to stay at PSG when Real Madrid had agreed a move with the Frenchman.

“I never imagined that I was going to talk to the president (Macron) about my future, about the future of my career, so it’s something crazy, really something crazy. He told me: ‘I want you to stay. I don’t want you to leave now.’ “You are very important for the country,” Mbappe told the ‘New York Times’.
