Thibaut Courtois returned to goal as Real Madrid beat Cadiz in the La Liga over the weekend.
Courtois did well against Cadiz, and even kept a clean sheet.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Andriy Lunin will start Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final clash with Bayern Munich ahead of Thibaut Courtois.
Lunin has impressed this season, and Ancelotti wants to stick with over Thibaut Courtois who just returned from a long-term injury.
“Lunin will start vs Bayern. Even if Courtois played a great game, the plan was for Lunin to start tomorrow,” he said.
“We are very happy with Courtois and he’s really training in fantastic way, he deserves a lot.”
