Real Madrid were confirmed champions after Barcelona lost 4-2 to Girona.

Barcelona were leading the game 2-1, but ended up losing to Girona 4-2.

According to Toni Kroos, Real Madrid players watched the game together, and celebrated afterwards.

He said: “We got together to watch Barca v Girona… It was pretty crazy because Girona could have won that game 7-2. We celebrated, not a lot, but we celebrated.

“When Barcelona went 2-1 up v Girona, I was going to leave and go home but everyone told me to stay. Five minutes later, they were down 4-2. We were all eating hot dogs. Not leaving was a great decision.

“We became La Liga champions because of Barca’s defeat against Girona, so it was a double victory for us!”
