It’s no longer news that Kylian Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid this summer.
The 25-year-old France superstar has been linked with Real Madrid for more than three years now, and the deal is now expected to happen this summer.
La Liga president Javier Tebas has jumped ahead of Real Madrid to announce the transfer, and even claimed that Mbappe has signed a five-year contract.
La Liga president Javier Tebas said in a chat with Argentine outlet Ole: “Kylian Mbappe already signed with Real Madrid. He will be here next season and for the next five seasons in Spain.”
PSG head coach Luis Enrique has confirmed Mbappe’s departure from Real Madrid, but claimed that PSG will be better without the Frenchman who is now expected to join Real Madrid.
“All I can say is marvellous things about Kylian Mbappe as a footballer and person,” Luis Enrique said.
“I understand his decision. He has been here for seven years and as a club legend. He has given everything to this club, and this club has given him everything as well.
“I wish him all the best for the future. I have been proud to have him in this team. He has helped us and is a leader, and he has done so with a smile on his face.
“Regardless of those who are here or who are absent, my aim is to be stronger next season.
“PSG will continue to be a great team and we’ll get even better. We will bring in players with strong mentality and players who identify with the club, that’s how life works.”
