Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez is reportedly weighing offers from Major League Soccer (MLS) and several Saudi Arabian clubs as he prepares to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Nacho is set to depart on a free transfer and is not planning to continue his career in Europe, specifically ruling out any clubs within Spain.

Nacho, who has been with Real Madrid his entire professional career, has played a crucial role as both a central defender and a right-back, providing reliability whenever called upon.

Despite his commitment and versatility, the 33-year-old is looking for a new challenge outside of Europe, with the MLS and the lucrative Saudi Pro League emerging as his top destinations.

The interest from MLS clubs comes as the league continues to attract prominent international players looking for competitive football in a growing football environment, while the financial incentives and the chance to be a marquee player make the Saudi Pro League an attractive option.

Real Madrid are yet to comment on Nacho’s departure, but it is understood that the club respects his decision and appreciates his long-standing service.

Nacho’s exit will mark the end of an era for him at Madrid, where he came through the youth ranks and succeeded in making over 200 appearances for the first team, contributing to numerous domestic and international titles.

It remains to be seen where Nacho will end up, but what is clear is his intention to embrace a new chapter in his career outside of European football.
