Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Toni Kroos’ performances this season.

Kroos has been brilliant this season, and has played in the big games for Madrid this season.

Interestingly, Ancelotti has said he wants Kroos to win the Ballon d’Or this season, but also admitted that it’s not possible.

“I would like for Kroos to win the Ballon d’Or, but I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Carlo Ancelotti said.

“But maybe if he wins the Champions League and the Euros, why not?”

Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham are among the favourites to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or. Kroos could end up in the top ten, if he continues with this form, and takes the form to his country in Euro 2024.

Toni Kroos has scored one goal and provided nine assists for Real Madrid this season.

According to Marca, Madrid is pushing for Vinicius Jr to win the award, and the Real Madrid dressing room has started campaign to help the Brazilian clinch the award.

Vinicius will however face competition from teammate Jude Bellingham, who has had an amazing debut season at Real Madrid with 22 goals and 10 assists.

Kylian Mbappe is also among those up for the award. He has 54 goal contributions for PSG and will also fight to help France win the Euro 2024.

For Vinicius Jr, he will need to perform very well in the upcoming Copa America and help Brazil win the title to boost his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or.

Vinicius has made 36 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 21 goals and providing 11 assists.
