Real Madrid defender David Alaba has suffered an injury setback.
According to Relevo’s Rodra P, David Alaba has undergone another knee surgery.
David Alaba was initially expected back in August or September, after suffering an ACL injury last year, and was subsequently ruled out for the season.
Alaba’s return to action could be postponed again.
Alaba has been sidelined since mid-December, and has only made 17 appearances for Real Madrid this season, with two assists.
With Nacho leaving in the summer, and Alaba’s injury recovery to take a longer time than expected, Real Madrid may have to sign a new defender in the summer transfer window.
