Real Madrid played out a 4-4 draw with Villarreal on Sunday evening, with Arda Guler, Joselu and Lucas Vazquez all getting on the scoresheet.
All goals came in the first-half, with Arda Guler scoring a first-half brace away at Villarreal.
Real Madrid striker Joselu was full of praise for the 19-year-old Arda Guler who has been impressive in this final lap of the season.
He said: “He’s a talent, a diamond that we have. We’ve looked after him very well all year. He didn’t get off to a good start with injuries and we’ve all been there for him. We treat him like he’s our youngest son, especially the older players.
“He’s demonstrating the quality he has, which is nothing new. He came here with that quality that he showed especially in training and last year. He’s a boy who has a great future ahead of him and he’s going to give Real Madrid fans a lot of happiness.”
Joselu was glad to also get on the scoresheet.
He concluded: “I’m happy because it’s special every time I score a goal in this jersey. For my personal account I’m very happy, it’s helped us to get a point here, although it’s clear that you want to score goals to win games. I’m happy to contribute and to keep scoring goals.”
