Antonio Rudiger has revealed an incident that happened against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.

It was Rudiger who scored the winning penalty against Bayern, and it was a strange occurrence to see the centre-back get entrusted with such.

Antonio Rudiger has been voted Real Madrid Player of the Month, and while receiving his award, the German international revealed his best moment of the season — the penalty shootout against Manchester City at the Etihad.

“If I had to choose one moment from the season, it would be the penalty I scored against Manchester City and it gave us qualification [to the quarter-final],” Rudiger said.

“Before the shootout, I told Ancelotti to believe in me and it turned out well.”
