
Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on Toni Kroos after he played his final game for Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the 0-0 draw against Real Betis.
It’s the end of an era for Kroos, who will no longer play football after this season.
The 34-year-old German leaves Real Madrid as a legend, after playing for the club over the past decade.
Carlo Ancelotti has hailed Kroos as one of the greatest players of all time.
Speaking after the game against Betis, Ancelotti said: “I’m just happy I will enjoy Toni Kroos for another week. We were lucky to have Kroos here for 10 years.
“Kroos is a legend. He deserved this farewell. He’s history of Real Madrid. He’s one of the greatest.
“It has been a great farewell for a legend like Toni Kroos. I hope we can raise the 15th together.”
Kroos will play his final Real Madrid game in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on June 1st.
