New Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe has spoken highly of Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappe is set to face Ronaldo in the Euro 2024 quarter-final clash on Friday, as France play Portugal.

Mbappe has said of Cristiano Ronaldo: “I have the opportunity to start my dream of playing for Real Madrid, I hope to write the history of Real Madrid.

“But Cristiano’s story at Real Madrid was unique. I hope to do something unique. I only have praise for him. We are in contact, he’s a legend.”

Mbappe will be officially revealed as a Real Madrid player on July 16, at 19:00 CET.

Mbappe will be unveiled wearing the new Real Madrid kit as well as his number nine jersey. Fans will be able to buy the new kit once his presentation is completed.

A total of 80,000 fans are expected to grace this highly-anticipated event, which will also be streamed live to millions of fans across the globe.
