In a recent chat with Diario AS, Spain and Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams was asked which of his current Spain teammates deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.

Nico Williams picked Real Madrid veteran full-back Dani Carvajal as the player from Spain’s Euro 2024 squad who deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

The 32-year-old right-back made his senior debut for Spain in 2014, and has netted one goal and provided seven assists in 48 appearances across all competitions for La Roja.

Dani Carvajal has also had a great career at Real Madrid, having joined the club in 2013.

Carvajal has scored 13 goals and provided 64 assists in 416 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos.

He has won four La Liga titles and six UEFA Champions League titles since joining Real Madrid.
