Mendy’s new deal will run until 2027 with an option of a further year. His salary will depend on the number of matches he plays during the campaign.

Due to injury problems, Mendy has battled over the past two seasons, his future has been in doubt for some time. However, Mendy came back stronger than ever in the second half of last season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Rudiger has been approached with a stunning proposal from Saudi club Al Ittihad, but the German defender is not considering leaving Real Madrid.
