Real Madrid lost veteran midfielder Toni Kroos at the end of last season. Kroos announced his desire to stop playing football after the 2023-24 campaign, with the Euro 2024 his last football showing.
Carlo Ancelotti has said Real Madrid won’t be signing a new player to replaced the departed club legend.
Rather than signing a new player, Carlo Ancelotti has said he will rather tweak his tactics to suit the current team.
After confirming that Real Madrid won’t sign any more players this summer, Ancelotti stated on Kroos: “Vertical play is what we also wanted with Kroos.
“If you get into the opposition half quickly you have more chances to create problems for the opposition.
“Where will Bellingham play? The closer he is to the box the better. We have Modric, Tchoaumeni, Valverde. We have the idea to defend well and repeat what we did well last year.”
