Real Madrid started the season with a surprise 1-1 draw with Mallorca.

Real Madrid were heavy favourites to win the game, and started the game brightly.

Real scored the opener via Rodrygo in the first half, but the hosts pulled one back early in the second-half.

Carlo Ancelotti said at full-time that the team will learn from their mistakes, and insisted there was no room for excuses.

Ancelotti said: “No excuses. We are not happy with the result because we could have done better. We needed more attitude.

“We can learn a lot from this game because it’s clear where we might face problems.”
