It hasn’t been a great start to the season for Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos have gotten just five points from three league games, while Barcelona have had a perfect start to the campaign with four wins out of four.

Paulo Pezzolano watched his Real Valladolid team suffer defeats to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the space of a week.

Real Madrid beat Valladolid 3-0, while Barcelona gave them a 7-0 thrashing.

Speaking about losing to the two teams, Paulo Pezzolano claimed Barcelona were more dominant in their tactical approach compared to Madrid.

“Yes, we went out to play the same as at the Bernabéu [against Real Madrid], but this team [Barca] knew how to play against low blocks,” Pezzolano said.

“Hansi Flick’s Barça is a very dedicated and complete team.

“It is a regrettable defeat, the worst that I have ever had in my career.”
