The international break is here, and what clubs fear the most is keeping their players from injury.

Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao has now sustained a muscle injury in training while on international duty with Brazil.

Militao is set to be sidelined for around two weeks, after his latest injury.

According to reports, Real Madrid are ‘enormously angry’ with Brazil and are working with FIFA and UEFA to address the issue.

The Los Blancos insist that the centre-back was in ‘perfect condition’ before he left for Brazil – and they are unhappy that this is not the first time a player returns injured from a national team.

“If Militao’s injury is only a little more serious than it seems, we hope to be able to recover him perfectly so that he can be taken back to the national team in good condition exactly in a month,” a club source told Marca sarcastically.

With Davi Alaba out injured, Carlo Ancelotti will now have only Antonio Rudiger as the club’s only experienced centre-back.
