Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has had difficult moments in the La Liga in recent times.

Over the past two seasons, Vinicius Jr has been booed and abused by opposition fans.

Away against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium last season, Vinicius Jr was racially abused.

Vinicius Jr has called for Spain to be stripped off the right to host the 2030 World Cup, but Valencia legend Santiago Canizares doesn’t agree with the Brazilian.

“If Vinicius [Junior] is not very much loved in Spain, this is not because of his skin colour,” Valencia icon Santiago Canizares has told Cope, via Diario Sport.

“He’s already said that all of Mestalla [Valencia’s home stadium] was racist, and now he’s doing it again. It’s a question of maturity, I’d rather listen to [Dani] Carvajal or [Luis] De la Fuente. It’s not because of his race, I promise.”
