Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has stated that Real Madrid were a bit fortunate to take all three points away at Real Sociedad.

Real Madrid needed two penalty goals to beat Sociedad, with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr converting their kicks.

Speaking on the result after the Sociedad clash, Carlo Ancelotti admitted his team needs to improve nevertheless.

The Italian stated: “It was a difficult game. We probably didn’t deserve to win because Real Sociedad played very well and pushed hard, but we held on and suffered.

“The start was tough. They pressed really well, but we were always able to find the free man. I’m satisfied with the win, but we have to be critical if we want to improve.”
