Real Madrid defeated Espanyol 4-1 last weekend at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This victory has propelled Real to 38 consecutive La Liga games without defeat, equalling Real Sociedad’s 1979-1980 record.

Having equalled Real Sociedad’s record, Real Madrid have set their sights on surpassing Barcelona’s all-time record of 43 games without defeat, set in 2017-2018.

To achieve this feat, Real Madrid must remain unbeaten in their next five La Liga matches.

Can the Los Blancos achieve this feat? Very likely, but time will tell.
