Real Madrid were beaten 3-1 by AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League group phase.

Real were heavy favourites for this game, but were deserved losers at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Speaking after the 3-1 defeat to Milan in the Champions League, Lucas Vazquez suggested that Real Madrid’s defence and attack need to improve.

“We have to improve both in defending and attacking. It’s a collective thing. That is where we have to focus,” Vazquez told reporters.

“We will get through this together and continue to work. It’s a long road but we owe it to our fans.

“It was a difficult game. They went ahead, we equalised and before half-time, they scored another goal, when we were in control of the game.

“We tried to turn things around and they counterattacked to make it 1-3.”
