Carlo Ancelotti is having a hard time getting his world-class front line to be assembled as a team.

The Italian is yet to find a balance to playing both Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, with both players suited on the left side.

After recent defeats to Barcelona and AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he won’t be changing their positions, saying that the team’s problem lie in defence.

Ancelotti said: “I didn’t want to move Vinicius from where he makes a difference. Mbappe can play as a striker, but that’s not the issue. Ours is not an offensive problem, but a defensive one.”

He added: “Yes, Vinicius can play well both on the wing and in the centre, but I’m not planning to change his position. Our challenge is in defence, not in attack.”

As for Mbappe, Ancelotti stated: “Kylian adapts well as a forward, allowing us flexibility, but we need to improve our defence to stabilise our game.”
