Kylian Mbappe put in another unimpressive performance for Real Madrid in the 4-0 win against Osasuna.
Mbappe has just one open play goal in his last seven games for Madrid, and seemed to have struggled against today’s opposition.
Mbappe had only one successful dribble, and misplaced the ball a couple of times.
Carlo Ancelotti however chose to back his superstar summer signing after the game.
“Mbappe made a lot of great moves. It’s a matter of time before he scores again,” Ancelotti said.
“Today Vini and Jude scored, next time it could be Mbappe.”
Real Madrid veteran midfielder Luka Modric was also sympathetic of Mbappe’s situation, and backed him to find his form.
“We know the player he is. He [Mbappe] is one of the best in the world. We know that the goals will arrive eventually. We have confidence. We are all with him,” Modric said.
