Real Madrid set two bad records after losing to Liverpool

Real Madrid were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in Wednesday night Champions League meeting at Anfield.

Real Madrid’s form in the Champions League this season has been woeful. The defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, marks Real Madrid’s third loss in five Champions League group stage matches.

Real Madhrid have set two unwanted records following this defeat to Liverpool.

Real Madrid have become the first reigning champions to lose three group stage matches after lifting the trophy.

Real Madrid got only 37% possession of the ball against Liverpool – which is their lowest ever in a Champions League group stage match.
