Kylian Mbappe recently missed a crucial penalty kick against Liverpool, as the Los Blancos went on to lose that game 2-0.

Against Getafe on Sunday, Jude Bellingham played and scored from the penalty spot ahead of Kylian Mbappe.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media following Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Getafe, and addressed the penalty taker situation.

Ancelotti spoke about the team’s penalty order, and explained why Bellingham was chosen ahead of Mbappe.

He said: “Today, it was Bellingham or Mbappe, and Bellingham was chosen.

“When Vinicius Jr is playing, it’s between him and Mbappe.”
