Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has provided a positive update regarding Kylian Mbappe’s injury, easing fears of a long-term issue for the French superstar.
Mbappe seems to have gotten injured during the game against Atalanta, bit thankfully it isn’t serious.
“Kylian Mbappe’s injury does not seem serious. It’s an overload,” Ancelotti revealed during a press conference. His statement suggests that Mbappe’s condition is not alarming and that his recovery should be straightforward.
Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, also weighed in on the situation. “Mbappe felt the muscle contracting. It doesn’t seem serious. We might lose him for this weekend [v Rayo Vallecano],” Courtois said, reinforcing Ancelotti’s remarks.
While the news provides some relief for Madrid fans, the team is likely to be cautious with Mbappe’s recovery, especially with important fixtures on the horizon.
Missing the Rayo Vallecano game might ensure the forward’s full fitness for upcoming challenges.
