Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has won the FIFA The Best Men’s Player award, for the year 2024.

Vinicius Jr beat Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Kylian Mbappe, Toni Kroos, Lamine Yamal, Florian Wirtz, Erling Haaland, Federico Valverde and Lionel Messi to win this award.

196 national team coaches and 193 national team captains participated in the vote, as well as fans and media.

While Rodri beat Vinicius Jr to the Ballon d’Or, Vinicius won the FIFA version of the award.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has claimed that the FIFA award will reveal the true winner of the award.

“If you want to know the best in the world, it should be [determined] by FIFA. Because everyone votes, it’s transparent, it’s objective, it’s all-inclusive,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said.
