Real Madrid defeated Mexican giants Pachuca 3-0 in the final of the Intercontinental Cup.

After a somewhat nervy start, the Los Blancos took control of the game, and ran out winners, following goals from star trio – Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.

Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for his team after this latest achievement.

“Today we started a bit so-so, and then we took control,” Ancelotti said.

“We finished well. We had more quality, but we needed attitude. After that, we got into the match. In the end, yes, I liked the attitude.

“Offensively, we did well. There’s a lot of quality. Kylian had a good match, Rodrygo scored the second. We’re very happy.

“Winning a match like this in the middle of the season is a big achievement.”
