10-man Real Madrid showed strong character to come from behind and beat Valencia 2-1.

Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham scored late goals to seal a massive victory that took Real Madrid top of the table.

One familiar incident happened during the game – Real Madrid missed a penalty, as Jude Bellingham failed to score from the spot shortly after the restart.

After stepping up to take responsibility of a penalty for the visitors, the Englishman struck the post, allowing Valencia to clear their lines.

This development has given rise to widespread frustration on the part of the Blancos faithful.

Carlo Ancelotti has often reiterated that he will allow his players to decide between them who should be the club’s penalty-taker during fixtures.

However, Real Madrid fans now believe Ancelotti should change his policy and appoint a regular taker, as Madrid continue to throw away kicks from 12 yards.

“I’m bothered that we’ve missed three penalties,” Ancelotti admitted in a post-match press conference.

However, Ancelotti took responsibility for the misses, saying: “It’s my responsibility to decide who will shoot.”
