Carlo Ancelotti reveals what he told his young players before 5-0 bashing of Deportiva Minera

Real Madrid cruised into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey with a commanding 5-0 victory over fourth-tier Club Deportiva Minera on Monday. The dominant performance showcased the strength of Real Madrid’s squad, with young talent Arda Güler stealing the show by netting a brilliant brace.

The game got off to a flying start for Real Madrid, as Federico Valverde opened the scoring in just the fifth minute with an impressive volley. Eduardo Camavinga doubled the lead eight minutes later with a powerful header, setting the tone for a night of attacking brilliance.

Arda Guler will go on to score a brace, with veteran Luka Modric bagging the fourth in-between Guler’s brace.

Speaking after the, Carlo Ancelotti expressed his delight with the performance of the club’s young players.

Ancelotti revealed he challenged the youngsters to showcase their quality, and they responded with an impressive display, much to the delight of the manager.

Ancelotti said: “I asked the young players to show their quality, they are young players with quality, it is a good experience for them to be with us, to play with us.”

Ancelotti emphasised the importance of providing opportunities for the young players to develop and gain experience.

He added: “They are young and have a lot of quality, we always keep them under control and monitoring.”
