Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. has been handed a two-game suspension by La Liga following his red card in the recent match against Valencia.

The Brazilian forward will now miss the upcoming league clashes against Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabéu and Real Valladolid away.

However, the suspension does not extend to the Supercopa, meaning Vinicius will still be available for selection in that competition.

The punishment stems from a second-half altercation with Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski, during which Vinicius pushed the opposing player in the head, leading to a straight red card.

In addition to the two-game ban, Vinicius Jr. has been fined €600, while Real Madrid has been penalised €700 as part of the disciplinary action.

Following the incident, Vinicius Jr. issued an apology on social media, expressing regret for his actions during the heated encounter.
