Vinicius Jr was the star of the show, as Real Madrid beat RB Salzburg 5-1 in the Champions League.
Vinicius scored a brace and was the official Man of the Match in the game against Salzburg.
Vinicius also reached a milestone, as he scored his 100th and 101st goals for Real Madrid.
Still only 24, Vinicius Jr is close to surpassing Ronaldo de Lima’s goals for Real Madrid. Surprisingly, the Brazilian now has 28 Champions League goals which is more than the 27 Luis Suarez managed in his career.
“I’m very happy to have been able to reach 100 goals with this shirt,” Vinicius said after the game against Salzburg.
“I’m only three goals away from Ronaldo to be the Brazilian who has scored the most goals with this shirt. I hope I can leave my mark on this club.”
The Brazilian also had some words of praise for Carlo Ancelotti.
“Ancelotti has been in the team for many years, he knows how to manage the team very well,” Vini said.
“In this group, it is very simple to perform because we all listen to each other. There are a lot of young people who want to make an impact here.”
