‘We don’t like playing them’ – Ancelotti reacts to potential Champions League opponents for Real Madrid

Real Madrid secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Brest in their final Champions League group stage match but fell short of automatic qualification for the round of 16.

Despite their dominant performance, Los Blancos must now navigate a playoff to secure their place in the knockout rounds. Their potential opponents in this crucial two-legged tie are either Celtic or Manchester City.

A showdown with City would undoubtedly be the tougher challenge, and Carlo Ancelotti has admitted it will be a difficult challenge.

“If we get City it will be more difficult. Now we wait for the draw,” Carlo Ancelotti said.

“We don’t like playing against Manchester City. Well, City have more chances to win the Champions League so.”

The draw for the Champions League playoff will take place on January 31, setting the stage for another high-stakes encounter in Real Madrid’s pursuit of continental glory.
