Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made it clear that his team is determined to close the gap on Real Madrid in the La Liga title race.

Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s upcoming match against Alaves, Flick emphasised the urgency of returning to winning form after dropping points in recent fixtures.

“This situation is bad, we lost a lot of points, so we expect to win this match. Now we have to prove it, we have to win consecutive games. This is very important to put pressure on Real Madrid,” Flick said.

Currently trailing Los Blancos by seven points in the league standings, Flick acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead but remained resolute in his team’s ambition.

“We need to put together a winning streak to keep the pressure on Real Madrid. Seven points is not easy, but we will keep fighting,” he added.

Barcelona will take on Alaves on Sunday, hoping to reduce the gap and keep their title hopes alive. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will remain focused on their own objectives, knowing that their biggest rivals are still chasing them.
