Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has expressed his ambition to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, after reaching a significant milestone with Los Blancos.

The 24-year-old Brazilian winger recently netted his 101st goal for the club, further cementing his status as a key figure in Real Madrid’s attack.

Having joined the club as a teenager, Vinicius has grown into one of the most electrifying players in world football, and now he’s setting his sights on reaching the legendary heights of Ronaldo.

Reflecting on his achievement, Vinicius said:

“It’s an incredible feeling. Only 20 players have scored more than 100 goals for Real, and among them is my idol Ronaldo, who always gave me advice on how to finish attacks better, how to strike correctly.”

The Brazilian also acknowledged the immense impact Ronaldo has had on him throughout his career, revealing how he studied the Portuguese icon’s game closely.

“Cristiano is another player whose games I grew up watching, who marked an entire era at this club. I hope I can follow in his footsteps. He scored 451 goals – more than the number of matches he played! I’ve seen almost all of his goals.”

With his blistering pace, dazzling footwork, and ever-improving finishing ability, Vinicius is already a nightmare for defenders. If he continues his upward trajectory, he could write his own legendary chapter in Real Madrid’s history—just like his idol before him.
