Real Madrid were surprisingly beaten 1-0 away from home against struggling Espanyol.
Madrid controlled the game from start to finish, and had a goal disallowed by VAR in the first half.
At the end, Madrid got hit by a devastating counter attack very late in the game.
Speaking after the game, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed it was an unfair result.
“The result wasn’t fair. We didn’t deserve to lose,” Carlo Ancelotti said in his post-match conference for the Espanyol game.
“We move on from this. We’re still in this fight to win La Liga.”
Real Madrid recorded 15 shots, seven of which were on target against Espanyol.
Real still top the table, but only one point ahead of Atletico Madrid.
