Real Madrid have been the centre of attraction of late amid poor refereeing calls.

The Los Blancos have been complaining of poor refereeing decisions, which was again evident in the Madrid derby, as Atletico were awarded a controversial penalty.

Speaking after the game, Carlo Ancelotti vowed not to talk about the referee.

“I will not talk about the referee so don’t ask me,” Carlo Ancelotti replied when asked about the decision of referee Soto Grado to award a penalty against Real Madrid.

“People who understand football can’t understand the referee’s decisions.

“The penalty changed the course of the match. There was a before and after the penalty.”

For Diego Simeone, the referee was right with his calls.

Simeone also said the referee didn’t make mistakes tonight despite the controversial penalty call.

“The referee was right in most decisions today,” the Atletico Madrid coach said.
