Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on Real Madrid’s form this season, even amidst tough competition from their closest rivals.

Guardiola highlighted how both Real Madrid and Barcelona have faced injury setbacks, but praised Los Blancos for managing these challenges more effectively. “Both teams have faced injury problems this season, but Real Madrid have dealt with them much better than us,” Guardiola admitted.

He further acknowledged the intense competition at the top of La Liga, noting Real Madrid’s resilience in staying ahead. “This team are leading the league, fighting against Atletico, which is once again showing its stability, and one of the best versions of Barcelona in recent times,” he said.

Guardiola also applauded Barcelona’s current form but emphasised that despite their impressive performances, Real Madrid continues to dominate. “This Barcelona are playing outstanding football, we can compare it to the best teams in its history, but even with all that, Real Madrid are still leading.”

The Manchester City boss concluded by underlining what sets Real Madrid apart from their Catalan rivals. “Once again, Real Madrid have shown how stable it is, and that sets it apart from Barcelona,” Guardiola remarked, highlighting the consistency and strength that have kept Los Blancos at the top.
