Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has shared positive news regarding the availability of Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba ahead of their crucial Champions League return leg against Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Los Blancos have navigated recent fixtures with a makeshift backline, relying on adaptability and resilience to compensate for the absence of key defensive figures.

However, Ancelotti is optimistic about having his experienced center-backs ready for the decisive clash.

“We need Rüdiger and Alaba for the return leg, and I think they’ll be available,” said the Italian tactician, underlining the importance of their presence in such a high-stakes encounter.

Despite being forced into defensive adjustments, Real Madrid put in a commendable display, showing remarkable discipline and determination. Ancelotti was full of praise for his squad’s effort.

“It was a pretty surprising game, and I didn’t think the team would be so capable of showing that level of sacrifice at this stage,” he stated, highlighting the commitment and fighting spirit his players demonstrated.

With Rüdiger and Alaba likely to return, Real Madrid will aim to bolster their defensive solidity as they look to overcome Manchester City and secure a place in the next round of the competition.
