Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has confirmed that negotiations over his contract renewal are ongoing, expressing his strong desire to remain at the club for many more years.

Speaking after Madrid’s thrilling Champions League victory over Manchester City, where he played a crucial role in Jude Bellingham’s late winner, the Brazilian addressed his future for the first time since reports surfaced claiming he had rejected an initial contract offer.

“It is always very exciting to have conversations with Real Madrid about my renewal,” Vinicius told TNT Sports Brazil.

“I have a contract until 2027, but I have always said that I want to continue playing here and making history. I have received the affection of the fans, the president, the coaching staff, and all the players. My wish is to stay longer, and God willing, in the next few days, all the negotiations will be resolved so I can spend much more time here.”

Despite speculation about a record-breaking bid from Al Hilal, the 24-year-old remained focused on his time at Madrid, stating:

“I don’t know anything about that either. Nobody has spoken to me. I have to speak to the president, and I hope I can stay here for a long time. This competition gives us something special, and I want to make history.”

Vinicius has been a key figure in Madrid’s success and remains central to the club’s long-term plans. With contract talks progressing, fans will be hoping for an official confirmation of his renewal in the coming weeks.
