Vinícius Júnior is reportedly considering his future at Real Madrid after receiving an astonishing €1 billion (£832.2m) offer from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Marca, the Brazilian forward met with Saudi representatives as far back as 2023 to discuss their vision for the league and the potential of a move. A follow-up meeting saw an unprecedented five-year contract proposal put on the table—an offer his entourage reportedly found “irresistible.”
Despite this, Vinícius has publicly stated his desire to stay at Madrid “for longer” and hopes negotiations regarding his future will be “resolved” soon. However, concerns over the strength of the Saudi league remain a key factor in his decision-making, as money is reportedly not his only motivation.
Saudi officials have also attempted to lure Vinícius with the prospect of becoming an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup, which will be hosted in the region.
While his contract at Madrid runs until 2027, the Saudi Pro League is determined to secure his signature this summer. With no firm decision yet made, Madrid fans will be eager to see if their star man remains committed to the Bernabéu or is tempted by the record-breaking offer.
