Real Madrid endured yet another frustrating night of questionable refereeing decisions as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Osasuna at El Sadar.

Despite taking an early lead, Los Blancos played most of the match with ten men after Jude Bellingham was controversially sent off in the first half.

Madrid started brightly, with Kylian Mbappé opening the scoring in the 15th minute—his 11th goal in 11 La Liga appearances. However, the game took a dramatic turn when Bellingham was shown a straight red card five minutes before halftime for what appeared to be protesting a decision. The call left Madrid stunned, and their task became significantly harder from that moment on.

The controversy didn’t stop there. Referee José Luis Munuera awarded Osasuna a penalty in the 58th minute after a VAR review determined that Eduardo Camavinga had stepped on Ante Budimir’s foot inside the box.

Asked about the decisions after the game, Carlo Ancelotti said: “Everyone has seen what has happened in the last three games. I prefer not to speak, if I speak, I will not be on the bench for the next game.

“I was frustrated because they should have reviewed the handball but well the VAR wasn’t on. They would have turned it on later (for Osasuna penalty).”

Real Madrid have now been punished with penalties in two consecutive La Liga games. Madrid have also been shown two red cards in their last four league matches.
