Real Madrid’s superstar Kylian Mbappe has etched his name into Champions League history with a breathtaking hat-trick against Manchester City, becoming the first player ever to score a hat-trick at both the Santiago Bernabéu and Camp Nou in the prestigious European competition.

On February 19, in a thrilling Round of 16 second-leg clash, Los Blancos triumphed over the reigning champions Manchester City with a 3-1 victory at the Bernabéu. The night belonged to Mbappe, whose electric performance sealed Madrid’s progression to the quarter-finals with a commanding 6-3 aggregate scoreline.

This latest milestone adds to the French forward’s incredible Champions League legacy. He previously netted a hat-trick at Camp Nou in 2021 while playing for PSG, inspiring his side to a 4-1 victory over Barcelona in the first leg of the Round of 16. Now, as a Real Madrid player, he has repeated that feat at the iconic Bernabéu, setting a record that even the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi never achieved.

So far in this European campaign, Mbappe has played 10 matches, scoring seven goals and providing one assist. His red-hot form will be crucial as Madrid now set for a round of 16 clash with Atletico Madrid.

With Mbappe leading the charge, Real Madrid’s quest for yet another Champions League triumph remains firmly on track.
