Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti addressed the media ahead of Los Blancos’ upcoming clash against Rayo Vallecano, providing key updates on the squad and sharing his thoughts on one of his standout players.

One of the major talking points was the fitness of Federico Valverde, who has been recovering from a recent setback.

Ancelotti confirmed that the Uruguayan midfielder is ready for action.

“Valverde? He is available. He arrived just before Atletico, but he has improved and is in good condition. He can play. We will see,” Ancelotti stated.

Beyond Valverde’s fitness, Ancelotti made a bold claim about his talent, hailing him as the best midfielder in the world.

Ancelotti stated: “In the future, Valverde will be one of the best, or he already is. He is the best midfielder in the world and the best full-back. But his future is in the middle of the pitch.”

While Valverde has showcased his versatility across multiple positions for Real Madrid, Ancelotti was clear about one role that the 25-year-old does not prefer.

“I know where Valverde likes to play the least… right winger. He likes to play as a pivot or interior and right-back as well. But his future will be in the middle of the pitch.”

With such high praise from his manager, Valverde’s role in Madrid’s midfield continues to grow in importance. As Los Blancos push for success in multiple competitions, the Uruguayan is set to be a key figure in Ancelotti’s plans.
