Real Madrid legend Luka Modric has opened up about his future, and Kylian Mbappe during an appearance on Telefoot in France.

The veteran midfielder made it clear that he has no plans to retire just yet and hopes to finish his career at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Praise for Kylian Mbappe

The 38-year-old also had high praise for Kylian Mbappe, calling him “one of the best players in the world” and emphasising his work ethic and personality. Despite what some critics have labelled a below-par season for the French forward, Modric was quick to highlight his immense talent:

“Even in a so-called ‘bad’ season, he has 30 goals. Imagine if it was his best.”

What Mbappe Must Do to Win the Ballon d’Or

With constant speculation surrounding Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid, Modric was asked about the 25-year-old’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or. His response was clear:

“I told him to keep helping Real Madrid win games. If he does, he’ll not only win one Ballon d’Or but several.”

Modric’s Future at Real Madrid

Regarding his own future, Modric confirmed that there have been no renewal discussions yet. However, he remains open to talks at the end of the season:

“We haven’t discussed a renewal. At the end of the season, I’ll talk with the club to decide what’s best for both sides.”

Modric’s love for Real Madrid is evident, and while his future remains undecided, fans will be hoping he continues to grace the Bernabéu for at least one more season.
