Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho has heaped praise on Real Madrid’s superstar winger Vinicius Jr., naming him the best Brazilian player in the world right now.
In a recent interview, the legendary playmaker opened up about the current crop of Brazilian talents lighting up European football—and Vinicius, unsurprisingly, was at the top of his list.
“Their instinct is pure Brazilian. Right now, Vinicius is the best Brazilian in the world, and then there’s Raphinha too. They’ve got that Brazilian instinct I love to watch,” Ronaldinho said, recognising both the flair and brilliance that Vinicius brings to the game.
The Real Madrid forward has been in dazzling form, continuing to develop into one of the most dangerous attacking players in world football. From his electric pace to his ability to decide big games—just ask Manchester City—Vinicius has become not just a key man for Los Blancos, but a global star carrying the torch for Brazil.
While Ronaldinho also gave props to Barcelona’s Raphinha, he was quick to highlight the unique talent brewing in La Liga’s next generation, especially in the form of teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.
