The Champions League dream may have ended for Real Madrid this season, but the bigger question now looming over the Santiago Bernabéu is about the man at the helm — Carlo Ancelotti.

In the aftermath of Madrid’s elimination from Europe’s elite competition, Ancelotti was visibly calm but noticeably evasive when asked about his future with the Spanish giants. His responses, though brief, have done little to calm the swirling rumours.

“My future? I don’t know, and I don’t want to know,” the Italian tactician said when questioned post-match. That simple sentence was enough to spark a wave of speculation across Spain and beyond.

The 65-year-old’s contract situation and long-term standing at the club have been under scrutiny for weeks, and Wednesday night’s exit has only intensified the talk.

When pressed further about whether this could be his last Champions League match in charge of Real Madrid, Ancelotti once again offered a cryptic response:

“I don’t know.”

Do you think Ancelotti should leave at the end of the season or continue his work as Real Madrid manager?
